A Retail Buyer is expected to decide and select suitable products that would go on the store’s shelves. They are expected to be familiar with market trends and customer demands, as well as local laws and company policies. They are also expected to build strong relationships with sellers to maximize efficiency when dealing with crises.
A Retail Buyer will work directly with the Retail Merchandiser and often with the Retail Manager and Retail Coordinator.
